In September 2011, Ray Comfort’s Living Waters ministry released a documentary titled “180“. The documentary marked Living Waters’ first international effort to address the issue of abortion. To date, the video has more than 2.5-million views on YouTube and 38,000 comments. Almost 700,000 copies of the DVD have been sold and given away to people around the world, with more than 200,000 distributed to students attending universities, colleges, and high schools across the U.S.
In previous posts I’ve told you about the 180 documentary and the 180 curriculum. Now you can register for the 180 Conference! The purpose of the conference is to equip Christians to stand up for life. Attendees will be presented with biblical teaching regarding the Christian worldview as it pertains to the life of the unborn; as well as teaching how to effectively share the gospel when engaging people in conversation about abortion.
Pam Tebow – The mother of football star Tim Tebow will share her personal testimony focusing on her refusal to abort her youngest son “Timmy” when she was advised to do so. Pam and her husband Bob have been called “homeschool pioneers.” They began homeschooling in 1982, when “homeschool” was not yet a word. All five of their children were homeschooled from kindergarten through high school, and every one of them received college scholarships. Each of the children and their spouses are active in various ministries!
Jim Bob & Michelle Duggar – They will share their Life Journey as parents of TLC’s 19 Kids & Counting. To date they have been blessed with 19 children, (10 boys and 9 girls) Joshua (& wife Anna), Jana & John-David (twins), Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna, Jedidiah & Jeremiah (twins), Jason, James, Justin, Jackson, Johannah, Jennifer, Jordyn & Josie and two Grand-Duggars, Mackynzie & Michael. Jim Bob served two terms in the Arkansas House of Representatives from 1999-2003 and was a candidate for U.S. Senate in 2002. The Duggars desire others to see that the Bible is the owner’s manual for life.
Tony Miano – Needless to say, Christians should do everything they can to save the lives of unborn children. But there is something missing in many of the Christian pro-life efforts. It is the gospel of Jesus Christ. In his message, Tony Miano will make a clarion call to make the gospel the prominent feature of any and every “pro-life effort.” Tony and his wife, Mahria, have been married since 1985. They have three grown daughters—Michelle, Marissa, and Amanda— all three of whom were homeschooled. Tony holds the title of “Chaplain Emeritus” with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
