Cyber Monday

Cyber Monday is a marketing term for the first Monday after Thanksgiving, created by companies to persuade people to shop online. It was first used within the e-commerce community during the 2005 holiday season. I must admit, there is nothing quite as fun as getting great discounts and bargains on electronics, DVDs, toys, books, and other items – either as gifts or for yourself – without having to fight traffic or stand in long lines.

Amazon.com has always been a pioneer and innovator when it comes to selling online. They strive to bring you low prices every day, and they are always on the frontline when it comes to holiday bargains. Amazon.com had the entire week of Thanksgiving dedicated to Black Friday deals, and now they are going to have a full week of Cyber Monday Deals!

When you shop at Amazon.com, you can shop from home, your office, your cell phone, or whatever way you like to shop best. But use common sense, as employers have been cracking down on employees using company equipment and company time for non-work-related purposes, including holiday shopping online.

I don’t get out very often so I do most of my shopping online for Christmas, birthdays, and everyday. Amazon.com is my personal favorite for their wide selection, fast service, and free shipping on orders of $25 or more. Are you planning on shopping online today or this week? What is your favorite online retailer? What kinds of things do you buy online?
