New Apps Support Personal Awareness for Emergencies

FEMA and the Red Cross have developed a series of free apps – generally available for both iPhones and Androids – that can help families and individuals be better prepared for weather-related emergencies. They have also created websites to assist in knowing where to seek shelter and how to find loved ones after a disaster. Given the recent spate of hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires, and floods, you may want to share these options with your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers. Preparedness is always a good thing!
