Celebrate Park and Recreation Month

Since 1985, America has celebrated July as the nation’s official Park and Recreation Month. The best way to celebrate is to visit a park near you! There are national parks, state parks, regional parks, county parks, city parks, and neighborhood parks. Some parks are places of quiet refuge and relaxation, while others provide open spaces for sports and recreation. Parks can provide opportunities to learn and grow, get healthy and fit, experience nature, or connect with your community. Public parks and recreation sites promote conservation, wellness, and social equity.

What is your favorite park? Tell us what you love about it!
