The Easy Peasy All in One Homeschool is a complete, totally free online curriculum, generously shared by a homeschooling mom named Lee Giles. These are the same lessons that she has used at home with her own children.
She explains, “This is my children’s school. I am putting their assignments online so that they can work independently and so that I have the assignments saved for their younger siblings. Grade levels and courses include 180 days of homeschool lessons and assignments. It covers reading, writing, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, math, history/social studies/geography, science, Bible, computer, music, art, PE/health, and logic. It uses only free materials found on the internet.”
Lee has been adding to the curriculum over the years as her children have progressed from pre-K to high school. It’s laid out so that your child can just go to Day 1 on his or her level (found in the sidebar) and start clicking through the assignments. You can do it by course– just use it for science, for example– or you can use it for everything. The curriculum uses classic literature, videos, lapbooks, notebooking, narration, experiments, interactive websites, online games, all free resources.
This curriculum is intended to be college preparatory. The students are always reading, including reading challenging books. (Most of the books are chosen from the Robinson and Ambleside curricula.) You can see the book lists and specific course descriptions on the individual course pages. Though Lee is Christian and points to the Bible from time to time in her lessons, most of the resources used are not Christian.
Lee has recently started a separate site for high school (though not yet complete) at www.allinonehighschool.com.
