“Four score and seven years ago…”
Today marks the 150th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s famous “Gettysburg Address.” The speech, delivered at noon on November 19, 1863, was a moving tribute to those who died at the Battle of Gettysburg four months earlier. President Lincoln’s speech lasted only two minutes, and yet the “Gettysburg Address” has gone down in history as one of the great speeches that everyone should read.
