This year I vowed to avoid the madness, busyness, rudeness, and self-centeredness that can quickly ruin the true spirit of the season. Instead, I wanted to focus and reflect on the simple things – Peace, Hope, Joy, and Love – as Jesus would have done.
Sometimes the best gifts one can give or receive do not cost anything, and do not come wrapped in fancy paper and bows. A hug; an act of kindness; understanding and loving words can be the most meaningful gift of all.
Sadly, the true “reason for the season” often becomes lost in all the hustle and bustle of the holidays.
Now is the time to celebrate and reflect on the real meaning of Christmas.
