The Illinois State Museum offers a variety of online resources designed for K-12 teachers that span the curriculum. Follow the links below to explore these offerings.

Lesson Plans
The Illinois State Museum has developed 481 lesson plans in anthropology, archaeology, art, computer technology, geography, history, language arts, and the natural sciences for grades K-12. Lessons are correlated to the Illinois Learning Standards.

Online Activities and Games
The Illinois State Museum has also developed 15 online activities or games that cover a wide range of topics such as anthropology, art, botany, geology, history, and zoology.

Web Exhibits
Visit the museum’s 86 world famous web “exhibits” such as At Home in Heartland, Geology Online, and Ice Ages. Most of the lesson plans and activities were developed to be used with these exhibits.
